The Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) aims "to provide a high level of protection of the environment and to ensure the integration of environmental considerations, when developing new Plans or Programmes", thus helping to promote sustainable development through decision making.
The aim of the SEA is to assess the likely impact of strategic level plans and programmes on the environment and to inform decision making throughout the development of the LTP2.
